In an Instagram announcement on Wednesday, McGraw unveiled his plans for new music. The intrigue surrounding McGraw’s musical endeavors began with a playlist titled “McGraw Three-ten Twenty Three,” which was distributed across numerous streaming platforms. This playlist was a blend of McGraw’s chart-topping hits, a selection of international successes, and a handful of lesser-known album tracks. Accompanied by a video message, McGraw hinted that there was more to this playlist than met the eye, cryptically alluding that all would become clear on March 10.
Fans soon recognized that the initial letters of each song in the playlist formed the phrase “Standing Room Only.” With this discovery, speculation grew that this could potentially be the title of his upcoming new music release.
Today, McGraw confirmed the speculations of his fans by officially announcing the imminent arrival of new music.
“Some of you guessed it!” McGraw joyfully declared in a post. He revealed, “New single ‘Standing Room Only’ coming March 10th. If we get 1,000 pre-saves on this today, I’ll share a little bit of the song with you.”
“Standing Room Only” marks McGraw’s first foray into new musical territory since his 2020 album “Here on Earth,” which featured notable radio hits like “Thought About You” and “Neon Church.”
In the year ahead, McGraw is set to maintain a busy touring schedule in 2023, with appearances scheduled at various esteemed events including Country Jam USA, Boots & Hearts, Coastal Country Jam, and Country Thunder festivals. Notably, he is also scheduled to perform at the Madness Music Festival in Houston’s Discovery Green Park from March 31 to April 2.
