The Season 2 conclusion of Blake Shelton’s television game show will be broadcast on USA at 11 p.m. Eastern Time on Monday.
Lauren Alaina and Blake Shelton share a strong camaraderie as they team up for the Season 2 finale of Barmageddon!
The 47-year-old country music star, alongside Carson Daly, will conclude the second season of their popular game show on Monday. To cap off the season with flair, they’ve enlisted Shelton’s 29-year-old friend and former tour mate as the celebrity guest for the grand finale.
In anticipation of the episode’s airing at 11 p.m. Eastern Time on USA, PEOPLE is exclusively presenting a sneak peek clip featuring one of the games where Alaina competes against (and decisively triumphs over) Shelton.
The two singer-songwriters engage in a lively round of beer pong in the latest episode of the reality series. This show features celebrities participating in larger-than-life bar games set in Blake Shelton’s Nashville bar, Ole Reed. However, this isn’t your typical beer pong game – it’s Barmageddon-ified. The cups are oversized, a massive ping pong paddle is in play, and the balls being thrown at the players add an extra twist.
During the “God’s Country” singer’s turn, his performance falls short, managing to land only one ball into a cup. In the clip, he becomes the target of good-natured teasing from his opponent and co-star, who playfully questions, “This is your hero?” This comment appears to allude to Lauren Alaina’s previous participation in Shelton’s Friends and Heroes Tour in early 2020.
The artist behind “Getting Over Him” offered a bit of encouragement, exclaiming, “You’re doing great, sweetie,” at a certain juncture. However, as the Grammy-nominated artist persisted in playing and repeatedly missing, she humorously remarked, “Is it that hard?” This led one of the fan participants to respond with an explicit joke.
As Alaina approaches the ping pong table in the amusing video, a different scenario unfolds.
In the Season 2 finale of Barmageddon airing on Monday night, the two successful music artists will engage in beer pong and other entertaining games.
The show, created by Shelton and executive produced by Daly, 50, with Nikki Garcia as the host, comprised 10 episodes in its second season, broadcasted throughout the fall of 2023 and early 2024. The season boasted appearances from a lineup of star-studded guests, including Kelly Clarkson, Michelle Rodriguez, David Arquette, Carly Pearce, Shelton’s wife, and pop sensation Gwen Stefani, among others.
Season 2 has been marked by numerous humorous and not-safe-for-work (NSFW) moments, ranging from an R-rated Christmas special featuring Ice-T as a special guest to games of Pictionary taking a cheeky turn.
When Shelton and Daly initially launched their USA series in December 2022, the country singer expressed their intention to create a “real-life The Hangover.”
“We wanted to try to capture that in a TV show with people that we know,” shared the musician. Initially, he didn’t see himself getting too involved in the games because he preferred to “watch other people do stupid stuff — not necessarily be the one doing it.”
However, both he and his co-star eventually succumbed to the allure. “It’s so much fun, I wanted to be a part of it,” said the “Austin” singer.
Daly humorously chimed in, saying, “We’re both very dumb men, and we come up with lots of what we think are great ideas.”
The Season 2 finale of Barmageddon is scheduled to air at 11 p.m. Eastern Time on USA on Monday, January 22.
