Josh Glicker directed the video for Gabby Barrett’s song “Dance Like No One’s Watching,” which Barrett mentioned brings the song to life.

Gabby Barrett drew upon Luke Combs’ songwriting talent for her track “Dance Like No One’s Watching.”

Combs, along with Emily Weisband and James McNair, crafted this uplifting, coming-of-age song, which Barrett included on her “Chapter & Verse” album, released recently.

The music video for the song was directed by Josh Glicker, and Barrett expressed how it vividly brings the song’s essence to life.

“It’s such a sweet montage of a woman’s life – from her first dance as a child with her dad to their dance on her wedding day,” Barrett shared. “I fell in love with this song the first time I heard it, and this video equally captures that feeling.”

Gabby Barrett, a 24-year-old wife and mother of three, shared that filming the video for “Dance Like No One’s Watching” brought back nostalgic feelings for her.

“I haven’t been to a school dance since I was much younger, so it was so neat to step back into that atmosphere,” she said. “It honestly really got me excited for my little girls’ future dances – I can’t wait to see them all dressed up with their daddy!”

Barrett and her husband, Cade Foehner, are parents to daughters Baylah May, 3, and Ivy Josephine, three months, as well as son Augustine Boone, 17 months.

“I was getting close to the birth of my third baby at that time,” she shared about watching the video for the first time. “So seeing the sweet little actress ‘grow up’ on film got really emotional for me! I couldn’t help but think of my relationship with my dad growing up, and my husband’s relationship with our girls. I hope everyone loves this video as much as I do. It’s a really special one.”

Barrett hopes that watching the video evokes special childhood memories for viewers.

“It’s that little memory that you’ve kept close to your heart – the one that just makes you smile to look back on as you grow up,” she expressed.
