Scotty McCreery Drops Unexpected Deluxe Edition of ‘Seasons Change’ Featuring New Tracks and Acoustic Renditions

By Website Content Manager

“That album, ‘Seasons Change,’ had a huge impact on my life,” McCreery shares.

Scotty McCreery Revisits a Defining Era With the Release of ‘Seasons Change: Platinum Edition’

Scotty McCreery is taking a nostalgic trip back to 2018—the year he released Seasons Change, a milestone album that marked a pivotal chapter in both his personal and professional journey. Now, fans can experience that era anew with the upcoming Seasons Change: Platinum Edition, set to drop on June 20.

The original record marked McCreery’s fourth album to debut at the top of a Billboard Album Chart and was a testament to his growth as a songwriter. He co-wrote all 11 songs on the album, which included his first trio of chart-topping hits: the 3x Platinum-certified “Five More Minutes,” Platinum hit “This Is It,” and Gold-certified “In Between.”

Through these tracks, McCreery offered a candid glimpse into his life, using music to tell stories that reflected the transformation he underwent during a five-year break between albums. During this time, he navigated major life events—moving into his own place, attending college, writing a book, signing with a new record label, and proposing to his longtime love. These milestones shaped his perspective and artistic voice, allowing him to authentically connect with listeners.

The Platinum Edition will introduce four previously unreleased tracks, alongside acoustic renditions of the three chart-toppers and fan-favorite “Still.” Fans can also look forward to an updated album cover, refreshed visuals, brand-new liner notes, and a heartfelt message from McCreery, reflecting on how far he’s come since the album first launched.

While the original album was produced by Frank Rogers, Derek Wells, and Aaron Eshuis, the new acoustic additions were produced by Nathan Thomas.

“Seasons Change changed my life,” McCreery shared. “I had experienced both the ups and downs of the industry, and this album felt like a fresh start. For the first time, I co-wrote everything and felt like I was telling my story honestly. Seeing how fans and radio embraced it has been incredibly rewarding. I’m someone who loves looking back, so releasing this expanded edition is my way of celebrating how far we’ve come—and setting sights on what’s next.”
