Riley Green Delivers Memorable “Change My Mind” Performance During CMA Fest Broadcast
Country fans watching from home were able to enjoy one of Riley Green’s memorable CMA Fest performances as his rendition of “Change My Mind” aired during the CMA Fest presented by SoFi television special, a three-hour program featuring highlights from the four-day music festival.
Recorded at Nashville’s Nissan Stadium, the performance captured Green’s signature country style and natural charisma as he performed the fan-favorite track for an enthusiastic crowd. He connected with the audience through the song’s playful lyrics and relaxed sound, which helped make it a standout from his album Don’t Mind If You Do.
Written by Green along with Erik Dylan and Randy Montana, the chart-topping song explores the complicated emotions of a relationship that is difficult to leave behind. The track tells the story of someone trying to convince himself he is finished with a romance, only to find himself pulled back in.
Through the song’s emotional and flirtatious lyrics, Green brought the same honesty and energy to the live performance that fans have come to love from the track.
Green also took on an additional role during the broadcast, serving as both a performer and co-host alongside Good Morning America personality Lara Spencer.
Speaking with Country Now about his hosting style, Green explained that he did not want to approach the role too seriously. Instead, he wanted to bring a fun and easygoing personality to the show while staying authentic to himself.
He joked that rather than playing the serious host, he would embrace his more playful Alabama personality and bring a lighter atmosphere to the event.
Green’s performance was included in the CMA Fest presented by SoFi special, which aired Thursday, June 25, on ABC and became available for streaming the following day on Hulu.
The concert event also featured performances from a wide range of artists, including Bailey Zimmerman, Blake Shelton, The Band Perry, Brothers Osborne, Carly Pearce, Cody Johnson, Ella Langley, Florida Georgia Line, HARDY, Jason Aldean, Jelly Roll, Keith Urban, Lainey Wilson, Luke Bryan, Tim McGraw, Zach Top and many more.
