Morgan Wallen Jokes About Piano Incident After Flipping It During Recent Concert

The incident took place during the Denver show on Friday, May 29.

Morgan Wallen has addressed the viral moment involving a piano flip during one of his recent live performances.

The incident took place on Friday, May 29, during the country singer’s Still the Problem tour stop at Empower Field at Mile High in Denver. The 33-year-old was in the middle of performing “Sand in My Boots” when he encountered technical issues with the piano on stage.

Shortly afterward, multiple fan-recorded videos began circulating online showing Wallen reacting to the malfunction. In one widely shared clip, he appears to push the instrument over, damaging it before stepping away. Another video shows him returning to the piano as members of the audience react with a mix of shock and cheers.

According to reports from Rolling Stone, Wallen was unable to hear the piano during the performance and ultimately continued the song without instrumentation, singing it a cappella.

At the time of the incident, the singer had not publicly commented, and representatives for Wallen did not immediately respond to media requests for clarification.

He later broke his silence on June 1 via TikTok, in a video seemingly recorded the night after the Denver concert. In the clip, he humorously addressed the situation while standing near a piano, saying it was currently functioning properly and referencing what he had been told the night before.

Wallen also added a tongue-in-cheek caption joking about public reactions to the incident.

The performance was part of his ongoing tour, which began on April 10 in Minneapolis and is scheduled to continue through several major U.S. cities, including Las Vegas, Indianapolis, Pittsburgh, and Chicago. The tour is expected to conclude in Philadelphia on August 1.
