Megan Moroney Celebrates ‘6 Months Later’ Music Video Release with Fans at Nashville Pop-Up Event
Megan Moroney is fueling fan excitement with the debut of her much-anticipated “6 Months Later” music video—and she did so with a heartfelt celebration alongside her supporters.
A day ahead of the video’s public release, the Georgia-born artist hosted an intimate premiere party atop The Westin Nashville at her Emo Cowgirl pop-up experience. The rooftop event gave attendees an immersive journey through Moroney’s musical eras, complete with new installations inspired by “6 Months Later.”
From heart-shaped balloons and wardrobe pieces from the video to themed merchandise and a custom “6 Months Later” ticket, every detail contributed to a one-of-a-kind fan experience. A large TV screen played the music video for the very first time, while Moroney herself joined the crowd—making the evening feel even more personal. Together, they watched the story unfold, packed with humor, emotional chaos, and poetic revenge.
The video opens with Moroney embodying a heartbroken woman, dressed in a playful pink feather outfit, lounging in a matching pink room. With her hair in curlers, a bowl of popcorn in hand, and a glittery landline by her side, she flips through TV channels before stumbling upon a retro-style commercial that feels like it’s speaking directly to her.
Enter the “Karma Now!” hotline—a fictional service featured in the ad that promises results in exactly six months. Branded by Emo Cowgirl, the commercial is a cheeky nod to anyone who’s been deceived, ghosted, or gaslit by a less-than-stellar partner.
Moroney then reappears as a hotline operator at the Karma Now call center. Surrounded by real-life friends playing her quirky co-workers, she listens intently as the heartbroken woman vents. Then, she sets the plan in motion—typing furiously on her sticker-covered laptop to serve up some overdue karmic payback.
The man in question soon finds himself plagued by small but satisfying mishaps: blue-tinted shower water, spoiled cereal milk, and a nasty bout of food poisoning during a date. When he finally tries to reconnect with his ex, the call center erupts in celebration, bathed in pink lights as the staff revel in a mission accomplished.
In the final scenes, his foolish behavior leads to him being ditched not by just one, but multiple women—ending the video with a fitting dose of poetic justice.
The narrative stems from a personal story Moroney hints began in November 2019, when someone she was seeing claimed they were “better off strangers.” The track—and the video—close with a sharp message: he’s run out of chances, and she’s moved on.
“6 Months Later” is Moroney’s second single following her sophomore album Am I Okay?, and it comes on the heels of her duet with Kenny Chesney, “You Had To Be There.” The track teases a new musical chapter for the country star—one she says will be more upbeat and less emotionally heavy than fans have previously heard from her.
