Maren Morris Lightheartedly Responds to Viral Onstage Wardrobe Malfunction: ‘I’ll Frame the Skirt’

The singer addressed the incident on TikTok, where her high-slit skirt accidentally shifted, revealing more than intended during a recent performance.

Maren Morris has humorously addressed the viral wardrobe malfunction that occurred during her recent performance. On July 16, the 34-year-old singer shared a TikTok video set to Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion’s provocative song “WAP” to poke fun at the incident where her high-slit skirt accidentally revealed more than intended at Willie Nelson’s 4th of July Picnic in Camden, New Jersey.

In the video, she playfully asks, “Hey guyz did anything weird happen today?!?!” and captions it with, “I think I’ll frame the skirt.”

The skirt in question is a denim maxi with a thigh-high slit that inadvertently exposed her nether regions during her performance at the Fourth of July event.

The incident sparked an online debate about whether Morris was wearing underwear during the performance. One TikTok user questioned, “You mean to tell me no one on that stage noticed and tried to tell her!!!” while another asked, “And commando???” However, Morris has not confirmed if she was or wasn’t wearing underwear.

Unbothered by the buzz, Morris responded, “Like, I’ve given birth. Nothing embarrasses me anymore,” under her own video, referring to the birth of her son Hayes in March 2020 with ex-husband Ryan Hurd. She also used the moment to promote her upcoming EP, Intermission, set to release on August 2.

The Grammy winner is fully aware of the skirt’s eye-catching nature. On May 19, she shared an Instagram photo of herself wearing the revealing design paired with a black tank top, humorously referring to it as her “church skirt.”
