“I’m so excited to hit the road and play this live for all of you,” Bryan said.
Luke Bryan has returned with a fresh release, “Word on the Street,” the track that inspired his 2026 tour and highlights his small-town roots.
Bryan took to Facebook to share his excitement: “It’s finally out! I hope you guys are BS free out in BFE somewhere listening. Can’t wait to hear what you think.”
The song’s relaxed, summer-ready vibe fits seamlessly into the Georgia-born singer’s catalog and sets the stage for his upcoming performances. Written by Payton Smith, Josh Thompson, and Justin Ebach, “Word On The Street” channels a “B.S. free” mindset, reflecting a desire to avoid gossip and drama while enjoying the peaceful simplicity of country life.
The lyrics tell the story of Bryan confronting rumors about an ex moving on and people speculating about him, ultimately choosing to retreat to quiet backroads, rivers, and pine forests—places free of judgment, gossip, and personal inquiries.
In the chorus, Bryan sings:
“No rumors on the rollin’ river / No talk in them tall pine trees / Just the wind and a whippoorwill whisper / B.S. free in B.F.E. / I don’t wanna hear how your movin’ on’s movin’ since me / And backroads mind their own / So I don’t hear the word on the street.”
Reflecting on the song, Bryan shared that he immediately connected with its clever lyrics and vibe, which perfectly aligned with the title of his summer tour. “This one felt right to get out asap after naming my summer tour from the title,” he said. “When I first heard the demo, I knew I had to go in and record it. I loved everything about how the writers approached this song—it just felt fresh. Can’t wait to get out on the road and perform it for you live!”
“Word On The Street” is the first of several new songs Bryan plans to release this year and follows his 32nd No. 1 hit, “Country Song Came On,” which topped the charts last summer.
His 2026 headline tour kicks off with back-to-back shows on May 29 and 30 in Gilford, New Hampshire. Select dates will feature openers including Drew Baldridge, Karley Scott Collins, Lanie Gardner, Randall King, Zach John King, Shane Profitt, Raelynn, Lauren Watkins, and Jake Worthington.
In addition to the Word On The Street Tour, Bryan will return for his 17th annual Farm Tour, beginning with a series of spring shows in California before moving to traditional farm stops in the fall.
Bryan’s 2026 schedule also includes major performances and festival appearances, including the Extra Innings Festival on February 27, the Houston Rodeo on March 9, and a concert at Sanford Stadium (Dooley Field) at the University of Georgia on April 25 alongside Jason Aldean.
