Lainey Wilson Reveals She’s Receiving Acting Offers ‘Left and Right’

By Website Content Manager

Wilson shared that her opportunities feel “almost limitless right now.”

Lainey Wilson is showing no signs of slowing down. With 16 ACM Awards, 9 CMA Awards, a Grammy, and her recent induction into the Grand Ole Opry, she’s firmly established herself as one of country music’s brightest stars. She’s currently in the middle of her biggest run yet — the Whirlwind Tour — and now, she’s hinting at even more opportunities on the horizon, this time in the world of acting.

Wilson, who first stepped into television with her role as Abby, an aspiring musician, in Season 5 of Yellowstone, says the scripts have been pouring in.

“I’m honestly getting pitched things right and left, which is cool,” the Louisiana native told Taste of Country Nights. “There are opportunities where I’m playing a musician, opportunities where I’m not, and even some where I’d just be writing for shows.”

And it’s not just a few options — Wilson says the possibilities are “kinda endless at this point,” and she’s currently weighing plenty of offers.

While nothing is set in stone yet, her next big screen appearance is already lined up. Wilson is set to make her feature film debut in Universal Pictures’ adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s bestseller Reminders of Him.

Though her role hasn’t been disclosed, she’ll appear alongside Maika Monroe, Tyriq Withers, Rudy Pankow, Lauren Graham, Nicholas Duvernay, and Bradley Whitford.

Wilson described the project as a leap forward for her creatively. “This was the first opportunity I’ve had where I wasn’t a musician,” she told iHeartCountry. “After I did Yellowstone, I said the next thing I want to do is something outside my comfort zone. This gave me that chance. It wasn’t easy, but it was a fun challenge — and it’s made me excited to keep exploring what that might look like.”

According to Deadline, the film’s release date has been moved up to February 6, 2026. Director Vanessa Caswill confirmed in mid-June via Instagram that filming had officially wrapped.
