Kelsea Ballerini expressed enthusiasm about her experience, saying, “I’m loving it so much.”
Kelsea Ballerini is currently enjoying life in New York City, though her stay there may not last indefinitely.
Last month, the country singer made headlines during An Evening with the Grand Ole Opry at Carnegie Hall when she revealed she had recently relocated to the Big Apple—a dream she had held since childhood. She shared with the audience that living in New York had always been something she planned to experience at a certain point in her life, and she now considers this moment that “chapter.”
Fans were surprised by the announcement, as Ballerini has had a series of recent homes and transitions, including a Nashville penthouse she shared with ex-husband Morgan Evans, a Tennessee property she bought from Kacey Musgraves following their divorce, and time spent between Los Angeles and South Carolina while she was dating Chase Stokes.
More recently, she confirmed in an interview with E! News at the 2026 Fashion Trust U.S. Awards in Los Angeles that her time in New York is temporary rather than permanent. She explained that she is only planning to stay through the summer and is fully embracing the experience while it lasts.
Coming off her breakup with Stokes, who also attended the Los Angeles event, Ballerini said she is focusing on herself and enjoying the independence that comes with this new phase of her life. She described feeling a renewed sense of energy as she explores the city and tries new experiences.
Among her current goals in New York is finding what she considers the perfect plate of spicy rigatoni, joking that Italian food holds a special place in her heart and that she is determined to track down the best version in the city.
