“We could really bring a romantic vibe to the screen…”

Jon Pardi’s latest single, “Boots Off,” was inspired by a real experience with his wife, Summer, which is why she also appears in the recently released music video.

The video shows the couple enjoying a night out together, dressing up and heading into the city before their evening turns into a more private, intimate moment back at a hotel. Throughout the story, they share lighthearted, affectionate interactions—dancing spontaneously, getting cozy in a limo, and playfully flirting as they walk through a hotel hallway. Once inside their room, the chemistry continues, with Summer changing into black lingerie while Jon adds a humorous touch by channeling Risky Business-style Tom Cruise and even incorporating an Elvis-inspired persona.

In a recent interview with Country Countdown USA, Jon talked about casting Summer and bringing their real-life connection into the project. He said they were able to lean into their natural chemistry on camera and described the shoot as fun and romantic, noting that the concept was built around a date night at a Nashville hotel.

He also shared that he added comedic elements to the video, including dressing up in Elvis-style outfits he jokingly refers to as giving him “superpowers,” playfully calling the persona “Elvis Pardi.”

“Boots Off” is featured on his album Honkytonk Hollywood and was co-written with Luke Laird and Wyatt McCubbin, inspired by a post-show moment he shared with Summer.
