Jelly Roll shared that he attended the Grammys with a broken collarbone, saying that every time he hugged someone, he felt like he wanted to scream from the pain.

Jelly Roll is opening up about an injury he suffered shortly before the 2026 Grammy Awards — something he initially kept hidden from fans.

On Sunday, March 1, the 41-year-old “Save Me” singer shared in an Instagram video that he had been nervous about riding his ATV again after flipping it earlier this year and breaking his collarbone.

In the video, he walked around the repaired vehicle while also showing an X-ray image of his injury, a photo of himself performing at the Grammys, and a look at the damaged ATV before it was fixed.

“You all just saw me take this thing out for the first time since the accident,” he said. “I broke my collarbone, and I was honestly scared to get back on it. But I knew if I waited too long, I’d only become more afraid.”

He added that the ATV had been completely restored by his brother, noting he originally thought the crash had destroyed it.

The “Need a Favor” performer explained that the experience reminded him of the pain he endured while celebrating at the Grammys.

“I was running all over the place that week with a broken collarbone,” he said. “Every time someone hugged me, I wanted to scream. I didn’t say anything, but whenever someone squeezed me, I felt like I might cry.”

Reflecting on the accident, he said it was a result of operator error, adding that sometimes machines can handle more than their riders expect. He ended his message with encouragement: “The lesson is to get back up and try again.”

He captioned the post by admitting he had been “keeping a secret” from fans.

According to medical guidance, collarbone injuries can take up to about 12 weeks to heal.

Despite the injury, Jelly Roll attended the Grammys with his wife, Bunnie Xo, on Feb. 1, where he took home multiple awards, including Best Contemporary Country Album for Beautifully Broken.
