Jason and Brittany Aldean Explain Why They Choose to Be ‘Unapologetic’ About Their Beliefs
Jason Aldean and his wife, Brittany, are opening up about their decision to speak openly about their conservative political views.
The couple recently took the stage at Turning Point USA’s annual AmericaFest, held at the Phoenix Convention Center, joining a lineup that included Savannah Chrisley, Todd Chrisley, Danica Patrick, Rob Schneider, and others.
During their appearance, Jason and Brittany discussed why they feel compelled to share their beliefs publicly, emphasizing honesty and authenticity as guiding principles—even when doing so invites criticism.
“I am very outspoken. I’m very bold,” Brittany said on stage. She explained that a conversation she and Jason had at home led them to embrace openly expressing their political stance, regardless of potential backlash.
“I just don’t really care what people think,” she said. “I think that’s a characteristic the Lord gave me, knowing I’d be in this position. We’ve been criticized for everything we do, so Jason and I decided that if we’re in a place to speak out, we’re going full steam ahead. We know a lot of people agree with us, so let’s get on this train together.”
Jason added that their visibility brings both scrutiny and a sense of responsibility. “We live in a country where sometimes being a Christian is made to feel like a negative thing, which isn’t how we were raised,” he said. “Because so much of what we do is under a microscope, I feel a duty to speak up when I see things that don’t seem right.”
He acknowledged that not everyone will agree with them, but he stressed that being open about their beliefs is the path that works best for them. “For us, it’s about being unapologetic about our beliefs. You might think we’re crazy, and that’s fine—but this is how we feel, and no one’s going to tell us differently,” he said.
