Country Next Spotlight: Rising Country Artist Cassidy Daniels
By Website Content Manager

Our Country Next series highlights some of the most promising emerging talents in country music. In this edition, we sit down with rising artist Cassidy Daniels to learn more about her journey and career.
Cassidy Daniels is rapidly emerging as one of country music’s most promising new talents. With her original songs featured in the Yellowstone spin-off Dutton Ranch, performances alongside Brothers Osborne on tour, and a debut full-length album on the horizon, the rising singer-songwriter continues to make a name for herself in the country music scene.
Now signed to 101 Music and based in Nashville, Daniels’ path to success began long before she arrived in Music City. Raised in an active-duty military family after the events of 9/11, she spent much of her childhood relocating. Although she considers North Carolina her home, she also lived in Kentucky and Florida, carrying her passion for music with her wherever her family was stationed.
Daniels discovered her love for music at just 9 years old and was determined to pursue it as a career. By the age of 12, she had already started building connections in Nashville while developing the skills that would shape her future. She gained valuable experience performing on the city’s famous Broadway stages before earning national attention as a finalist on CBS’s The Road.
Her appearance on the show also introduced her to filmmaker Taylor Sheridan, who later invited her to perform throughout the first season of Dutton Ranch. Several of her original songs—including “Heart Shaped Necklace,” “Crazy Love,” and “Ain’t No Jukebox”—were featured in the series and will also appear on her upcoming debut album, which is being produced by Brothers Osborne’s John Osborne.
In an exclusive interview, Daniels reflected on the experiences that led her to Nashville, the lessons she learned while competing on The Road, and what fans can expect from her first full-length record.
Looking back on her childhood, Daniels shared that growing up in a military family meant moving frequently as her father served on active duty following 9/11. During those years, music and songwriting became a source of comfort and stability. She recalled that a small keyboard she received as a child remained one of the few constants through every move. With her father often deployed during periods of intense combat, writing songs and playing music became both a creative outlet and a way to cope, helping her stay occupied while providing a sense of peace during difficult times.
