Colt Ford Postpones Several Upcoming Shows to Focus on Recovery After Bus Crash

Colt Ford is recovering after suffering a broken shoulder in a tour bus accident in Germany earlier this week.
The country artist’s team at Average Joes Entertainment provided an update after the crash occurred Wednesday, Aug. 12. Ford had previously addressed the incident on social media, explaining that his tour bus veered into a ditch while he and his crew were traveling to Germany for a scheduled performance.
Although the accident resulted in injuries, Ford said everyone involved was safe and expressed gratitude that the situation did not have a more serious outcome. He described being pulled through the windshield by first responders after sustaining the shoulder injury, while noting that several members of his crew were also shaken up.
Neither Ford nor his representatives have publicly disclosed the precise location or cause of the crash. The accident happened shortly before Ford was scheduled to appear at Tailgate X in Ballenstedt, a city in central Germany.
Ford subsequently underwent surgery to repair his broken shoulder. His team confirmed that the procedure was successful and said the singer is now concentrating on getting sufficient rest and recovering from his injuries.
Because of his recovery, several of Ford’s upcoming concerts will either be postponed or canceled. In an Instagram update shared Friday, Aug. 14, his team explained that the singer is disappointed about missing performances and time with his fans, but emphasized that taking care of his health must come first.
For now, Ford is focused on healing and working toward returning to performing when it is safe for him to do so.
