Brad Paisley Delights Fans with Fake Arrest Skit and Guitar Pick ‘Bribes’ Onstage

Brad Paisley knows how to keep his concerts lively and full of surprises.

At his July 18 show in Bridgeport, Connecticut, the 52-year-old country star pulled off a hilarious moment by inviting local police officers on stage for a playful bit. In a TikTok video shared by a fan, Paisley appears humorously anxious as he’s surrounded by uniformed officers. He hands each one a guitar pick, joking, “This is not a bribe,” before launching into his hit song “Mr. Policeman,” prompting cheers from the audience.

The TikTok user added a cheeky caption: “He was let off with a warning after he reportedly bribed the officers with free guitar picks.”

The next day, the Bridgeport Police Department took to Instagram to praise the fun moment, calling it “one for the books.”

They wrote, “A huge thank you to the Hartford HealthCare Amphitheater and country music legend @bradpaisley for taking the time to recognize the hard work of our Bridgeport Police officers. Being invited on stage was something our officers will never forget, and it meant a lot to everyone in the department.”

The Bridgeport Police Department continued their praise for Brad Paisley in their Instagram post, writing, “To Brad Paisley and his crew, thank you for your support of law enforcement and for showing that appreciation in such a meaningful way. From a recruitment perspective, imagine coming to work and spending the evening with Brad Paisley — that’s the kind of experience you remember for a lifetime.”

The post ended with a shoutout to the officers involved: “To all the officers who worked the event, thank you for representing our department with such pride and professionalism.”

Paisley is currently touring across the U.S. on his Truck Still Works tour, named after his September 2024 single of the same title. The tour began on May 21 at the Mountain America Center in Idaho Falls, Idaho, and includes stops in several major cities before concluding on August 18 in Arcadia, Wisconsin, at the Ashley for the Arts festival.

Earlier this year, in April, Paisley also appeared on the reality TV series Farmer Wants a Wife, where he met with the show’s four single farmers. During his appearance, he chatted with them about their romantic journeys and offered a bit of relationship advice.
