Beyoncé has won Album of the Year at the 2025 Grammy Awards!

The 43-year-old music icon earned her first-ever win in this category for her country album Cowboy Carter on Sunday, February 2.

She was accompanied onstage by her daughter, Blue Ivy, to mark the special occasion.

Members of the Los Angeles County Fire Department presented the Album of the Year award and were met with a standing ovation, honoring those impacted by the Los Angeles wildfires.

“I want to thank, acknowledge, and praise all the firefighters for keeping us safe,” the Texas Hold Em singer said during her brief yet heartfelt speech.

“I feel incredibly full and honored. It’s been a long time coming. I’d like to thank the Grammys, every songwriter, every collaborator, every producer, and everyone who put in the hard work,” she added.

“I want to dedicate this to Ms. Martell, and I hope we continue pushing forward,” Beyoncé said, referring to Linda Martell, the first Black female country artist who collaborated with her on Cowboy Carter. “Opening doors. God bless you all. Thank you so much. Thank you.”

Chief Anthony Marrone of the LAPD spoke to the crowd, describing it as a “tremendous honor and privilege” to be surrounded by “such talented music industry professionals.”

“As fire chief, I want to take this opportunity to recognize and thank the first responders who came from near and far to fight the wildfire. Amid unprecedented fire conditions, their acts of courage and dedication were truly inspiring,” he said.

“Our heartfelt condolences and prayers go out to all the families who have lost loved ones, friends, neighbors, and those who have lost homes, businesses, and been displaced.”

Marrone also expressed gratitude to the many community partners who supported the LAFD during this challenging time. “I’m confident we will recover and rebuild together because we are LA strong.”

Beyoncé made a huge impact on country music with her groundbreaking album Cowboy Carter and became the most nominated artist of the year with 11 nominations across multiple categories, including Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Pop Solo Performance, Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, Best Melodic Rap Performance, Best Country Solo Performance, Best Country Duo/Group Performance, Best Country Song, and Best Country Album.

Cowboy Carter marked her fifth nomination for Album of the Year. In previous years, she had lost the award four times—twice to Taylor Swift (2010 and 2015), to Adele (2017), and to Harry Styles (2023).

This year’s group of nominees included Grammy veterans like Taylor Swift, who earned a nomination for The Tortured Poets Department.

Other notable nominees included André 3000 for New Blue Sun, Sabrina Carpenter for Short n’ Sweet, Charli XCX for Brat, Jacob Collier for Djesse Vol. 4, Billie Eilish for Hit Me Hard and Soft, and Chappell Roan for The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess.
